Indian Cultural Organisation of Lincolnshire

In late February we received an enquiry from the Indian Cultural Organisation of Lincolnshire about a digital billboard campaign for an event in March.

After a discussion on the locations of the screens in Lincolnshire, they agreed to book a 2 week campaign in Boston and Lincoln. The Boston screen is located in an excellent position by the roundabout connecting Spalding Road and John Adams Way.  The two Lincoln screens are on Tritton Road. Due to budget constraints, they only took one of the two digital screens in Lincoln. However, after a discussion with the operator, we managed to get the message rotated across both screens, with each getting 1 week. The idea behind this was to ensure their message was visible to vehicles travelling both ways on Tritton Road.

The campaign was to promote Lincolnshire’s biggest Holi: The Festival of Colours event on Saturday 18th March at Central Park in Boston.

Holi is an annual Hindu festival that celebrates the end of winter. It also celebrates love and new beginnings…………it is colourful and also very messy! People gather and throw perfumed and brightly coloured powder at each other. They also throw water to ensure the powder sticks to everyone, which is why it all gets very messy. It was an all day event open to everyone and free to enter. There were lots of things to see and do with Indian food stalls serving fantastic food throughout the day. The day culminated in the throwing of the powder.
