Food Hub are a privately owned business based in Stoke on Trent. They are an on-line portal through which customers order food from their favourite restaurants and takeaway’s via the Food Hub app.
A lot of work has been done and continues to be done, to get restaurants and takeaways from specific areas onto their system. Once they have a certain level of food outlets on-board in an area, they then go to the general public to give them the option of using their app, rather than another competitor, such as Just Eat or Deliveroo. The main reason why people should choose Food Hub is because, in the majority of cases, it will cost less. Food Hub take a smaller commission from the food outlet meaning they can charge less for the service.
We were approached and given the brief to help launch the Food Hub brand in Nottingham and Mansfield and to encourage downloads of the app.
We put forward a selection of options, including digital billboards, bus, Adshel Live and radio advertising in Mansfield and bus, tram and digital billboard advertising in Nottingham. The idea was to give as much visibility to their brand in both locations whilst staying within the budget.
The client liked everything we proposed and booked all the options suggested for an initial 8 week run. The digital billboards in both locations plus Adshel Live and radio in Mansfield were subsequently booked for a second run.
We have also run a digital billboard campaign on several screens in Stoke on Trent to run alongside and support a sponsorship they have with Stoke City FC.
We are currently in the process of organising a 3 month SKY Ad Smart TV campaign across most regions in England using SKY Regional. This is to concentrate on the main areas in the country where the app is currently strongest. Although they are already in areas of both Scotland and Wales, the SKY Regional package for these areas would have had too much wastage. We are looking at picking up on these via alternative options. This campaign will be backed up with other advertising options such as digital billboards and audio to complement the TV campaign.
