In early March 2021, we were given a warm lead that led to a conversation with the Managing Director of Roof Friendly, a Upvc Window and Door company.
After talking with the MD, we found out they had several marketing campaigns already in place. These were the re-vamp of their website (www.roofriendly.co.uk) and also quarterly leaflet drops across Lincoln and selected postcodes across the County. But they were looking for something a little different to work alongside these. We discussed various advertising options but they liked like idea of using local radio advertising. Knowing this, we covered all aspects of how radio works and how they can advertise on it.
In Lincoln, using commercial local radio advertising meant that they had two options open to them, Lincs FM and Lincoln City Radio (LCR). Both are excellent radio stations but with Lincs FM being a regional rather than local station, it meant that their budget would not stretch to using them effectively.
After discussing things with LCR, we recommended a mix of Traffic and Travel sponsorship and airtime over a 3 month period. The Traffic and Travel sponsorship gives them real consistency of message at key times of the day, while the airtime package provides more time to explain who and what they are as a business.
The client was happy with both the proposal and the financial commitment and started their campaign Monday 15th March for an initial 3 month period. Things will be assessed during this period, but the plan is to continue with the campaign.
