Lincoln UTC

We had discussed a possible bus advertising campaign with Lincoln UTC in July 2019 but for various reasons this did not happen. However, we kept in touch with the Marketing Manager periodically to ensure that we were still part of her thoughts in terms of advertising going forward.

Lincoln UTC is a college specialising in science and engineering making it a different proposition to the other further education facilities in Lincoln.

In December 2020, Alight Media launched two brand new digital billboards on Dixon Street in Lincoln. These replaced 4 standard billboards that had been taken down some months earlier. These boards sit back to back and so face traffic going either way. Dixon Street links Tritton Road to High Street in the City.

Knowing we had a good relationship with Alight Media, we used this new development as a reason to contact the UTC again. The Marketing Manager replied expressing an interest in these. We put forward suggestions including a 3, 6 and 12 month campaign. The UTC came back and booked the 3 month option. They expressed a desire to run their campaign on the board that you see when driving from Tritton Road towards High Street. This was then booked for all three months.

The campaign was to be a split campaign across several months with them running for a month at a time in March, May and July 2021.

The March campaign advert was designed to encourage applications for Year 10 and Year 12 students to start at the College in September. The Marketing Manager has expressed that the UTC is pleased with everything so far.
