Wolseley Bathroom Showroom, Hull

Wolseley bathroom showroom Hull, had traditionally been a builders merchant trading under the name Plumb Center. However, in recent years they wanted to open up to their services to both the trade and public alike. To do this they re-branded and up-graded their branches. There are currently four branches in the Hull area. Two in Hull and one in Hessle and Beverley.

The Company’s philosophy is to provide customers with an easy way to choose, install and enjoy the bathroom of their dreams. After an extensive refurbishment during the Summer of 2019, the Wolseley Bathroom Showroom on National Avenue wanted to promote their products and services to both trade and retail customers in Hull. They approached us at CG Advertising Ltd to discuss the advertising options available to them.

We discussed a variety of different advertising options that would work for them. These included radio, Adshel, bus and billboard advertising. Although all options were attractive, the timescale, media availability and budget constraints meant we could only do one. We decided to concentrate on billboards. The billboards offered fantastic visibility both in terms of location and their physical size. This allowed us to put forward a strong visual creative with a simple call to action.

We looked at two locations for them:

Clough Road Retail Park HU6 7PT which has an official weekly traffic count of 133,000 vehicles*

Beverley Road HU5 2TL which has an official weekly traffic count of 147,000 vehicles*

The billboard campaign went live in early September for a four week run.
