BUS STOP ADVERTISING MEDIA PLANNING AND BUYING ACROSS THE UK
Consistent. Visible. Impact.
Wherever there is a bus station, there will invariably be bus stops on the routes they take. These are essential for anyone wanting to travel on a bus and are located at key points on all bus routes.
If the bus stop has a shelter, then there is likely to be advertising space. These poster sites can either be placed facing the road or at right angles to the road. The panel is approximately 2 metres high by 1 metre wide with most being double sided. Both options will target both pedestrians as they walk by or stand at the bus stop, and vehicles as they drive by.
Being located at key points on busy roads, makes the advertising space very visible and as such great options for advertisers looking to dominate a specific city or town.
Most of these are the Classic paper versions, but there are also digital options in many larger conurbations.
At CG Advertising we can help you navigate through the complexities and choose the most effective locations for your business.
Frequently Asked Questions:
A - As with all advertising, it depends. There are many factors to consider before we can put forward a campaign that suits your requirements. We recommend you run multiple sites to maximise your message. This number will be dictated by the size of the location you are advertising in. The larger the location, the more sites you ideally need. The more sites you have, the more the campaign will cost.
Also, we need to factor in whether the bus stop is a Classi paper or digital version as these are priced differently.
A - We would not recommend this. Bus stops target both pedestrians and vehicles, but mainly vehicles. When you drive past a single bus stop, the poster is seen but not really fully understood. However, drive past several bus stops, and the message becomes much clearer. It is for this reason we recommend you have multiple locations around the target towns you want to advertise in.
A - A Classic paper version has a printed paper poster and is booked in multiples of 2 weeks. It is therefore the only advert you will see at that site for the duration of the campaign. A digital version has multiple advertisers in rotation. Each advertiser has 1 x 10 second play before rotating to the next advertiser. You buy a set number of plays on a specific amount of digital screens and once that booked number of plays is reached, your campaign finishes.
High Impact
Advertising on bus stop 6 sheets deliver a high impact advertising message to both pedestrians walking by and people in vehicles as they drive past. It is an important reminder of a sales message in the geographic area the advertisers operate in.
Longevity of Message
Campaigns on Classic paper 6 sheets run in multiples of 2 weeks. It is recommended that the advertiser runs their campaign across multiple bus stop locations for multiple weeks to maximise the visibility of their message.
Cannot miss it
Bus stops are all located next to busy main roads and with multiple bus stops in each town, it makes the 6 sheet poster highly visible.
