Vision West Nottinghamshire College – Digital billboard campaigns

We have worked with Vision West Nottinghamshire College for several years now.

In October and November 2020, we booked a series of marketing campaigns to run across the newly installed digital billboards located across Mansfield and owned by Global.

The first campaign ran for 4 weeks on the two D48’s located on the junction of the A38 and Rosemary Street at Stockwell Gate. We booked 2 weeks on each board to ensure that the College’s enrolment message for September 2021 was seen by drivers going both to and from Mansfield to Sutton in Ashfield.

A second campaign was booked to run for 2 weeks from Monday 28th December on all three of Global’s digital billboards. These were the two on Stockwell Gate along with the one located on Chesterfield Road South just past the Civic Centre. This campaign ran a message promoting the upcoming A Level Open Evening on Tuesday 12th January 2021.

Whilst these two were being planned and booked, a new media owner put up a different D48 on Ratcliffe Road in Mansfield. As I have worked with this media owner before, I was given early warning that it was happening and also some fantastic opening advertising rates. This was pitched to the College and they subsequently booked a 12 month campaign to start Monday 28th December. The initial message will be the A Level Open Evening, the same as the second booked campaign. Apart from the fantastic offer, the other reason the College booked this for a 12 month period was the opportunity to be able to change the message very quickly at no extra charge. This gives them flexibility throughout 2021 to promote all their Open events.

Further to this, the College also booked a standard 32 sheet billboard for 50 weeks with the campaign starting w/c 22nd March 2021. This billboard is located on Woodhouse Road in Mansfield right by the railway bridge. It is part of a series of 6 billboards located either side of the bridge and sees a high volume of traffic throughout the day. The plan is to change the poster roughly every 6 weeks to promote upcoming Open events.
